Hey guys, happy Friday!
I am changing the radiator out on this 1998 Volvo S70 GLT. The retainer clips that attach the transmission lines and oil cooler lines onto the radiator look very similiar - are they the same part, and are they interchangeable? I found a couple threads about how to remove them without destroying them, but nothing about parts compatibility. Thanks in advance!

When fitting, or even before removing check which way around the cage fits. If you look closely at the cage the metal part that fits into the recess is offset on one side. If you fit them the wrong way around they will leak past the 'o' rings. Should that happen then you can then remove and reverse.
I usually reuse the parts if they are in good condition, but even with new ones I tie a zip-tie around the cage to prevent any chance of it being able to come off.
Good luck!
Neil.

+1 on orientation of the cage, note the fat and thin ends and replace exactly as they exist. They will pop off otherwise. "Note the clip has a THICK and THIN side: the THICK side goes toward the radiator" as previously posted by cn90. Do not buy these after marketed.
