Better than even odds that it will disconnect itself naturally, then you get to play Whacka-Mole-vacuum hose.

Ok , don't want to piss off mother nature. The car came with a replacement carbon box, purge line not hooked up or vent from tank not hooked up. No codes at all. It also passed emmissions
. The car does have all new vacuum lines instaled when I did the PCV system. It still doesent have much pickup when I have to slow down on the freeway and then get back up to speed... slow to get back up to speed, she's a dog/pig/snail. Any Ideas guys ??

Maybe she hangs out with Shotzie the Diesel Mercedes too much?
Assume it has had routine maintenance? Plugs, wires, etc.

I know this is an old post, but I have a 94 NA sedan and have found that there may be the same problem with my car, my charcoal canister is connected and recently after having the same problems you are describing I found a missing plug (or vacuum cap) missing on my canister, the car idles fine runs fine once I get up to speed. But that’s where it sounds a lot like your problem. There is a vacuum line connected to the top of your air cleaner box top held on by two screws, one vacuum goes to the vacuum tree on the intake and another on that piece is teed and goes to the charcoal canister, these lines connect right under the battery tray. So if you are running the existing charcoal canister; as you said you have a spare, and the fuel vent line is disconnected and other lines to the vacuum canister, that is now a vacuum leak and could explain the “no pep” issues with your car should you still own it.
