Re: 98 v70--- will these steelies fit?

ET25 should stick out 5mm more than my ET30 yep. Might work depending on the width of the wheel, shape of the tire itself, height of the car, hard to tell... That's the best schematic I could find in a quick google image search https://www.withoutahitch.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/BACKSPACE-wh...

Re: 96 850 R manual swap - reflashing of ECU necessary

Some mods (software or hardware) allow you to keep AC with a M4.4 conversion, not all tuner might want to do the software one though

Re: Next level ABS issues, 1996 Volvo 850

abscate wrote: 24 Sep 2022, 23:55 I never trust the text code descriptions on scanners if it isn’t Volvo software. I don’t think rear wheel sensor play into VSS.
VST is Volvo own tool pre-vida, unobtainium stuff nowadays :D

Re: Best way to get wiring from front to trunk

I've tucked mine inside the plastic conduit on the driver (left hand) side. Had to lift the carpet and take a few trim pieces off, but wasn't too bad

Re: 97 850 won't stay running - Security system question

Not sure what the immo is cutting, might be able to find it by looking at wiring diagrams. I'd say either the ignition or the fuel pump. As far as I can remember, I think you need to go back to pos.0 on the ignition to get it to crank again. I'm currently using a non-immo ECU but I can throw a spare...

Re: immobilizer on 96 EU models

The immobilizer module Misha is talking about looks like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224173405239 And should be situated near the steering shaft, under the dash. The volvo schematics says on the right of it for a 96 850. Worst case if you have immo problems and the ecu is M4.4, you can flash a n...

Re: Where to hook up smoke machine?

1998 S70 T5 279K I see some people used the air intake to introduce smoke, but I don't have the cone adapter so I may need to figure a way to seal it off. When I did mine I disconnected the intake hose from the MAF, and used a latex glove to seal that. Then plugged my smoke generator into some smal...

Re: Trying to fix hesitation issue 1998 V70 GLT FWD

Do you have power to the OBD port ? If not, it's probably the fuse (it's called something along the lines of "A/C and diagnostic" ) I dont really see how the MAF, crank sensor or cam sensor could have issues only when the engine is warm. If you can get the obd working first thing I would c...
