Re: European road trip: Sweden - Italy - France - Sweden
After a week of excellent Italian food and weather it was time to move on. This time from the coast and up into the Alps, more specifically the French town of Chamonix where I was to hook up with a few friends for a guided mountain biking tour. I drove inland by way of small roads. Using Google Maps...

Re: Do I need to fill VVT solenoid with oil?
Once you have the VVT solenoid torqued back on (w/new gasket that has screen) 1. turn the engine over manually (with oil in crankcase) to circulate oil, or 2. before firing, you can crank the engine (using the starter) with the ignition coils disconnected or fuse removed. That’ll get oil up there.

If you move one tooth on the small gear you will have to move many teeth on the larger gear to avoid a loose belt. T...

Re: Is there a way to see the check engine codes without a scan tool?
No you can’t see the codes. But you can see on the information screen on your DIM which modules currently have a code set.
Hold “read” on your left stock (high beam stock maybe?) and hit the front foglamp switch twice then scroll through the module DTC status for each one.

Re: I did it!!!!
Did you have the power steering apart for any reason during the work or the fluid out of it? If you did, did you top the fluid up again in the system and 'burp' the power steering system prior to driving it? If you topped up the system without burping it it could be there is trapped air in the power...
