Re: What are these seals in head set? 99 S70 GLT 2.4
I had to purchase the same seals, but used. I still wonder if it's not better without them.

Re: 98 S70 camshafts question
Interesting this thread has occurred without me noticing it. Usually what happens with NA cams is that they have overlap to take advantage of exhaust scavenging. With VVT the overlap is increased on a NA motor to move the powerband down, but this increases overlap. Turbo motors do not have overlap o...

Re: Head gasket replacement questions
To be sure something won't break when setting thr torque, the bolt holed need to be clean else you risk a cracked block and the underside of the bolt cap needs to be coated in oil.
You did 130 degrees, I did 150. They are fine.

Re: Hello everyone regarding my 2007 cross country Volvo wagon XC 70
I used a NRF radiator and it seems alright. However care should be taken when tightening the clamps, the radiator's throat is pure plastic. Over tighten and it will crack.

Re: Vida CEM swapping
Continuing my TCM reverse engineering I stumbled upon a constant that seemed related to gear ratios. It is calculated like so: (((37699 * 314) / 2440) * 4096) / 10000 = const The reason for the integer multiplication is for errorrless multiplication. So 37699 could be 3769.9 or 3.7699. 314 could be ...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
In any case, Lubeguard extended your transmissions life or at the very least didn't hurt it. I on the other hand have my Lubeguard Platinum stuck at customs. And it's terrible paperwork I have to send to clear it. I am noticing some slippage within the gears. ATF Temps rise too quickly from a simple...

Re: Significant inner CV axle radial play.
Some small update. Turns out it was not the axle, but litte ol' ball joint. I ordered a replacement part, only to get not the old style ball joint but the newer. So off we go to order to correct one finally.

Re: Transmission cooler flush
The temp gauges on these cars is strongly vertical even up to 120c, so you can be 65-120 and it will show full vertical.
The trans has many things that can happen. Worn out fluid, worn out valve body from clogged solenoids, and of course a clogged filter(partial).

Re: 2009 S60 transmission issues
I was about to say that the lack of drive or reverse is usually caused by a clogged internal filter, but the lack of Park engagement which is mechanical in nature is weird. Did the shifter not want to go to Park or it went into Park and nothing happens?

Re: Trans sat in second randomly Auto | Unknown how to replicate | P2 S60 2.5T
My first suspect is the PNP switch which dictates which hydraulic position the shifter is in.
