Re: iAC valve - How to test?
Thanks for the pin out info -- that's interesting and I'm curious to hear what the results of your testing are. For what it's worth I know that on the IAC valve that failed on my car (twice), the symptoms were low fluctuating idle/stalling during hot weather (>95F/35C). Cleaning out brown deposits i...

Re: Need advice on best way to repair tailgate leak at hinge
I found a new way that water can leak into the back of the wagon, and fixed it. Took some photos along the way in case anybody else finds water dripping down the trim and wetting the carpet in the tailgate area. After removing the interior side trim, water drop visible after splashing a little water...

Re: How to test a battery cable?
I remember reading somewhere that one of the contributors to the failure of the crimp connection at the positive battery post is fumes rising from the sulfuric acid electrolyte inside the battery cells reacting with the copper metal in the cable causing corrosion.

Re: ignition switch replacement
Maybe you already did this and I missed it above.... have you measured the voltage levels at the connectors on the switch to verify that you're seeing the correct values as you turn the switch to each position?

Re: Side repeater conversion on 96 850
I did this installation on my '97 a few years ago and spliced into the front turn signals, just as you're suggesting above. Has been working well with no issues, and can recommend this approach. Good luck!

Re: Clearing ECC codes with "LED flasher unit"
What does your code reader circuit look like, specifically the type of LED and current-limiting resistor that you're using? Asking because I found that my original design with a high resistance (5000 Ohms) resistor worked for reading but not clearing codes. I switched the resistor to a lower value (...

Re: Alternative source wanted for wiring repair p/n 3523813 wire & 9144275 socket
That is a cool idea and implementation!
I was wondering if it would be possible to 3-D print a mold and then use RTV silicone to inject inside and around the bullet connectors, to make a new insulator for them.

Re: Fuel Pump Relay 9434225 Examinations 1998 v70 non turbo
My 11 year old fuel pump relay just failed... took it out and inspected it: many of the solder joints have cracks. The biggest cracks are on the pins to the relay frame (first picture below at lower mag, pictures two and three are close-ups of each pin on the relay frame). One of the diodes and seve...
