Re: DIY FPR vacuum line replacement
Thank you for this topic! Glad I found it I was trying to figure out what that hose went to
The FPR line is broken off in the end of mine. As long as there is enough left to attach to will this be a problem if I just replace the hose?

Re: DIY FPR vacuum line replacement
Thanks, jreed!
It's always good to have someone post photos of where these weak points are hiding.

Re: '97 855 GLT Can you help me find the for source of oil leak near exhaust manifold on passenger side?
There are few places that the oil can come from other than the rear front cam seal or the head gasket. It could have been a leaking oil filler seal, but the oil tends to leak over to the driver's side more than here. It is unlikely to be the oil pump (behind the crank pulley) due to where the oil is...

Unless jreed's has less than 150,000 miles, servicing and restoring lubrication system could improve. Our '97 850 is coming for next tb service. It is tempting to restore lubrication system, and discover a little after the oil pan is off.

Eddystone, You nailed This.
I had an open issue with occasional clunking in the CVs and guess what! It all went away with the motor mount replacement.
This was ugly...

Re: Spot the 'impostor': windshield washer nozzles OEM v aftermarket identification
Ha ! Yeah they're more like dust wipers here. When I bought Sveedy the washer pump hadn't worked in years and no one had noticed. I'm sure that 90 percent of the water she has seen has come out of the end of a hose.

Re: Dim headlight-rewire?
Scot850 was correct about the reflectors being bad- When I connected the bulb direct to the battery and the headlight was still dim I was completely lost why still thinking the 11.7v was too low So lets open up the headlight and see what's doing! Reflector was worn off and housing was yellowish in c...

Delphi MAF probe AF10311 review
Last fall I was troubleshooting a stalling problem. I managed to rummage up a used scan tool for a pretty good price in the hope that reading some live data would provide some clues. I read data from the cheaper stuff first (which all looked good) before I turned to the MAF. The MAF reading would sp...
