Re: V70 Tailgate Wire Harness Repair
Go to this page http://www.volvowiringdiagrams.com/?dir=volvo/V70%20Wiring%20Diagrams and download the diagram for your car, sadly Volvo did indeed use some same coloured wires in the tailgate harness which can make it "fun" sorting it out if they have all snapped. This pin out of the tail...

'97 855 GLT: Notes on changing heater core pipes
After reading here about the good chance of having a leaking heater core and especially about suddenly bursting heater hoses, I decided it would be a good idea to do some preventative maintenance. So I replaced the heater core, heater core pipes and heater hoses which were all original on my 1997 85...

1997 Volvo 855 GLT Dipstick Tube Seal Ring Replacement
During a routine oil change last week I noticed a little oil seeping out around the base of the dipstick tube where it enters the oil pan. I ordered a new seal ring from IPD (using the ad link above -- great prices these days at IPD!) and installed it this morning. There were several write-ups alrea...

Volvo XC90 2003 - AntiSkid fix w/o Yaw reman
Folks - The Active Yaw Control Sensor (found under the passenger seat and carpet) is a very expensive repair whether you purchase a new unit or send yours off to be re-manufactured by Xemodex or BBA Reman or try to get a used one. Fortunately, I found that BCM (brake control module) codes indicating...

Re: DIY access/remove ECM & TCM on 850, S70, V70, XC70, C70
Thanks for posting this. My fault finding had come to a halt because I really needed to get the ECU out. I'd probably have worked it out for myself in the end but it's always easier to do a job like that if you know what you are going to find. After reading the guide I went out to see how easy it wa...

Do it yourself valve spring compressor
DSC02820.JPG Hello all, I've been lurking around here while I work on a cheap project car I picked up. I ended up with a warped head that needs decked, so I figured I'd pull my valves myself to save some cost when I take it in to the machine shop. It turns out, a valve spring compressor that *might...

2000 V70R - AWD fuel/emissons pipe routing
Following a request from another regular, I will make a start to a long thread on the fuel and emission line routing from the front of the car engine bay to, and around the rear axle area and fuel tank. As I have taken a whole load of photos, and can take more in needed, I will do this in stages, an...

Re: 2008 V70 Automatic window roll-up malfunction
Might be late, but make sure that you lubricate the window slides with silicone spray before resetting the windows position. My issues were resolved right after I did that.
