Re: Key turning issue

Well I'm a bit embarrassed to admit it, since I probably should have tried it when I was first having issues with the lock, but graphite lube for the win! From the first spray the problem mostly disappeared, a little twisting of the key and now it's completely solved. Thank you!

Re: Amazon loaded front struts- gamble too big?

Thanks, foggy and scot, I talked to a very friendly rep at ipd after exhausting options. I like their loaded struts- has all the good, proprietary bits and saves a LOT of hassle. I help out a few local owners with advice and help as well as wrenching for a couple of folks (don't charge them as money is tight for them). It is my way of givin...

Re: 06 XC70 headlight covers - do they have a coating?

I've done a few of my cars by aggresively sanding down with wet sandpaper (best to remove headlights), 400, 600 and 800 grit. Didn't go too fine as I wanted to leave something for clear coat to stick to. Test your sanding by putting water on it to see if you've missed spots. Then I used a two part a...

Re: Driver door module not responding, no part number stickers on module to replace

Post or pm your VIN to me and I can look it up in VIDA for you. Sent you a PM.. thank you so much! VIDA screenshot below. Chassis are the last six digits of your VIN. So that leads me to think your part number is 30658146 . You could verify with a dealership parts counter if you want, I've done it ...

Re: DIY 2004 V70 Sachs Quick Strut (FCPEuro)

Update 2007 S60 2.5T with 115K miles ... - Quick Struts no longer available. - No problem, back to basic. - P.O. had a local shop installed Chinese struts (Autozone BS) at 90K. About 20K miles later, they are kaput. S60-Strut-01.jpg - Not only that, the shop installed a spring seat wrong: * On the L...

Re: 2001 S80 T6 Siren Module 9452709 Replacement/Repair - How To

Question: Once you cut the 2 halves open, how do you put it back together? Silicone caulking??? * You'll have to use a rubber band to hold it till it dries. I am using a little light sprinkle of baking powder on the seam then super glue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sq5YJbZXaZk https://www.youtu...
