Re: low power up hill

wasn't there an easy method to measure the exhaust temp before and after the cat with an IR Thermometer? if the difference is too high, the cat is blocked.

Yep, same with looking for shorts to block ground in plug wires.
Dark is not much help on coil over plug machines. Old tricks are getting tired.

Re: What non automotive projects and repairs are you doing?

Nice! I haven’t tried a Segway but I believe it’s similar technology to the onewheel. Very important to buy all the safety equipment available including pads and wrist guards etc. a full face MTB helmet is a good idea also. I put 27 kilometers on my onewheel on Friday and the only thing that hurt af...

Re: Monroe 182263 + 64 Mazda 3 Strut for V50 and P1 models?

Ok. Install was successful. I can confirm this (Mazda 3) specific shock fits the V50 perfectly. I moved over the top metal 3/4” spacer bracket that the AWD only model uses. As a note: you need to turn the normal correct bearing position on the top of the replacement shock 180 degrees around because ...

Re: Let's play Name That Car

matthew1 wrote: 01 Nov 2024, 13:35 This looks like the car the Italian had, yes. It was for sure a Maserati, like Joe Walsh drove... or rather didn't drive, back in his day.
He had a limo, rode in the back.

Re: Door mirror - Is there a re-calibration process? - 02 XC70

Does your car have a "memory" driver's seat with the "1, 2, 3" buttons? If so, this is likely the same "memory" system trying to adjust the mirrors, and getting confused. Adjust them where you want them, adjust the seat, press and hold "mem", and then press &q...

Re: How do you get the d**n bulbs out? MCC, Volvo 850 '97

I have figured it out, it's dark every day I get home and I have to work by shoddy lights but I found plastic tabs holding a circuit board in place. Remove that board and the lamps are easy to remove! You can see photos in this german forum https://volvo.reparaturanleitung.info/volvo/index.php?threa...

Re: C70 Subframe Bolts on 850 w/o Horseshoe Brace

It would be a challenge to ship, but if anyone needs the C70 sub-frame brace pair I have a set. I got them for the R before discovering you can't fit them to an AWD P80 due to the prop-shaft center support bearing using the mounting holes the main brace uses.

Re: Greetings from germany and a question about high idling my V70R

Moin,

so the culprit was the TBM, changed it to a Bosch Unit (0 280 750 131), adapt it with VIDA and after short warming up, the engine stayed at one RPM in the Range for TÜV.

Thanks for the Help! Good thing i found this place.
