Those quick struts were junk. Same story on my 01v70xc. Sachs stopped making them anyway. All chineesium quick struts are junk. Save yourself headache and just buy individual parts to assemble oem style strut(original springs not mubea, lesforders or whatever else fcp sells. Oem only and you will be...

Volvo 850 Dashboard Mount Repair
HI Matthew, In my opinion, I came up with a much better solution to upgrade the P80 Volvo's notorious dashboard panel rattle issue. This design I came up with back in 2019 and they have kept my S70's dash quiet all this time. I sell them through Facebook Marketplace and on Amazon. https://www.facebo...

Re: T5 vs T6 and how is your 10 year old holding up?
I have a 2015 with the oft maligned 2.0l., a T5. It has 109k on it and it's the nicest car I've owned. It had great maintenance, and I got it with new timing and accessory belts, coolant and transmission maintenance. I do kill the "Auto Stop Start" every time I get in. It burns no oil. Whi...

Re: Should I continue with the Volvo 850?
Keep it. Particularly if it's rust free. If you toss it, you'll just end up looking back and thinking " What if I'd done this ...?" If the car has been sitting awhile the rings might be a bit stuck. At least keep digging and do a compression test etc. 120,00 is pretty low for its age. At a...

Re: Leak from fuel tank when filling up!
Cutting fuel system access holes is a risky modification. Some fuel tanks used to be located inside the trunk area of cars (Mustang, Jaguar, Mercedes) and during extremely strong rear impacts, the fuel tank would be crushed and spray the interior of the vehicle. Many car companies run a non-regulato...

Re: Volvo XC90 - Why you love yours!
Because my 2003 XC90 T6 was on of the first to arrive. She needs me. She has had everything that can go wrong, go wrong.... almost. It was all fixed at the Volvo Dealer. Until 2019 when the third tranny failed. Service manager offered my sister $500.00 USD for her. He had worked on her since new. I ...

Re: 2018 XC60 T6 Momentum VCM Battery replacement
I think the TSB also calls for software update at the same time. Dealer should probably charge 100-150 for that.
