Re: Why is dashboard light bulb linked to my brake pedal?
Bad ground or poor bulb connection to the contact plates on taillights can cause this. I bet you have a dim brake light and one of the park lamps up fronts comes on when brakes are applied. You may not see it unless it is dark. If the brake light filament and the park light filament meet at the grou...

Re: 2000 v70 xc propeller shaft carrier bearing replacement
There is a spline and the two parts are slid together. You have to heat the area with a propane torch or oxy-acetylene torch and then it will come apart. Use green bearing mount LocTite to put it together after driving off the center support bearing and installing the new assembly. driveshaftparts.c...

Re: Why is dashboard light bulb linked to my brake pedal?
You can try sanding the surface on the taillight and the contacts on socket. Use some grease to try to keep corrosion from returning.

Re: 2001 V70 2.4T Long crank after sitting, fuel odor, underside of fuel tank damp
There is a fuel pump inlet screen made onto the bottom of the pump. You would likely break stuff taking it apart to put that screen on it if they provided one. The screen containing part is the black plastic circular pump mount that has "fingers" with latching tabs that holds fuel pump int...

Re: Dual VVT motor into single VVT car?
The vvt cam has only the one bolt hole and non vvt have the three at a different location relative to front of head. The hole in head is much larger as the vvt sticks into head where non vvt cam sticks out of head and seal rides on the cam. I wouldn't be surprised if you could get $1500 for the engi...

Re: Front axles wont go back in.
The RH ones should go all the way through the angle gear an slip into the transmission with only a twist to get splines aligned. Left side as mentioned above but you usually have to get it spline aligned and then pop it inward. The snap ring gives resistance and has to be compressed to go in so some...

Re: XC70 2004/2005 door swap?
No problems. The S60 and V70 got headlight and taillight changes and for all P2 the CAN modules changed in many, but not all cases. The rear doors on P2 are not fitted with modules with microprocessors. There should be no problem with dropping it on your 05. I don't think there were any exterior cha...

Re: XC70 2004/2005 front driver door swap?
Sorry, I do see "front" now. Yes, the DDM will need to be swapped but it is on your inside door panel and if you keep yours it is easy.
