Re: Working on 1998 V70 fuel tank/pump/hoses when it's full

You can empty it into a friends car by cracking the union at the fuel rail and using fuel hose to route it to the empty fuel tank

Empty the first two gallons into a gas can for your trip.

Jump the fuel relay with a. Piece of wire to pump gas. It will take 20-30 minutes to empty a full tank

Re: '03 s60 needs good engine shop

Volvo horns awarded for removing 6 thou of warp with sandpaper!

That’s dedication !

Did you use new head bolts? That’s recommended by Volvo but I’ve always wondered if they are truly in the deformation limit

Re: Good Volvo shop in San Antonio, TX area?

reverend wrote: 14 Oct 2020, 15:26 We have one Volvo dealer locally, but I haven't been entirely impressed with their work (and $150/hr stings) so if there's a reputable Volvo shop nearby, I'm all ears.

Or maybe it'll be better to ask in the P2 subforum?
Bit more activity there, agreed

Re: MAF Assembly or sensor

None at all. Just be careful handling the insert which is a bit more exposed once removed

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

The rules apply to everyone, so it is aimed at everyone. Part of maintaining the expertise here is avoiding ‘text talk’ and the prattle on Facebook.

A short sentence fragment in reply to someone is fine, we don’t need Queens English, but run-ons will get a polite cease-and desist.
