Got an eBay alternator and dropped it in. New serp belt,viciously tight. It ran very well with no tensioner. Could not install belt with tensioner , even after running for ten minutes. Struggled to put tensioner back on with belt on, finally did using bottom bolt first on tensioner trick Wisechatmgr...
