P80 (-1998) Throttle Body Rod 3507883 Dicussion

Hi,

Bad experience on the highway. The car stopped accelerating.

Need "Throttle body control rod"
1998 v70
I believe the part number is
3507883

Please does anyone have an idea where i can get one?
Volvo dealer in the area said he could not get one.

If you get new calipers, grab the caliper slide pins from your factory ones. The pins on the rebuilds are usually pot metal junk.

Yes they will take the caliper as a core without slide pins. Because they're going to put in junk pins at the reman shop ...

It -could- be two burned valves in two adjacent cylinders, but that’s highly unlikely. A “leak down” test will tell you where the air is leaking out. You can do this. Do you need the car anytime soon? Slow & careful is my pattern on new things. DIYs are invaluable. Ask questions here. Everything...
