Re: Serpentine belt tensioner
The springs do break and the bearing do seize. If you see the tensioner bobbing up and down when engine is idling it has failed. Replace it ASAP unless you want to toast the motor (serp belt jumps or snaps and takes out the timing belt cover and timing belt). Some of the older tensioners have a Torx...

Re: code P0420 fixed w/Oxygen Sensor O2 Sensor Extender
loveMy850 - post a picture. You may be able to replace the pin or just hard wire a bypass. Picture will help with the best solution. As to the O2 sensor extender - I had a set on the shelf so I tried them out on my X5 while I waited for my replacement cats to arrive. It didn't work. When I put the n...

Re: Fuel injectors
If they have the same Bosch numbers on it and have the same color...it's a direct swap.
But....if they were unprotected all those years....they will need cleaning before install.

Re: Idle tensioner
Serpentine belt tensioner have nothing to do with timing belt.
It is held with 2 bolts,BUT you need to remove the tension first and slide the serpentine belt from tensioner pulley before you undo those two bolts.
You will need to make a tool for serpentine belt tensioner arm.

Re: Fuel injectors
In that case....i wouldn't install them.
You will need injectors with same Bosch numbers and color.
They may have higher or lower flow rate...different resistance....and engine would not run properly.
