My advice is install the XeMODeX now and ship the failed ETM back. You get the core credit and should have trouble free operation (and the slight improvements) for a long time.
I think the XeMODeX failure was a fluke.

Re: What non automotive projects and repairs are you doing?
My thoughts on building selection for restoration: 1. Reject if the foundation and walls are very bad - too much effort to repair. 2. Try to find with at least a fair roof to shed most water. 3. Determine what size you and your family want. Larger costs more in every way. 4. Decide how far you are w...

Re: P80 How overbuilt are the Fuel filters on our P80 Volvo’s?
I am reusing P2 filters on my 1977 Ford truck. Just back flush the crud and install inline with hose clamps. I figure it is big enough not to cause flow restriction.

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
Used my V70 T5 to haul 8 foot cedar boards home from the lumber yard. Rear seat down and passenger seat moved forward. The boards are for house trim.

If you remove any covers, inspect them for w...

Re: Water pump keep or replace?
It all comes down to paying now (good stuff) for the long term or getting by using cheap stuff and you may have to pay more later. This is the basic choice every vehicle owner makes. Just get by for now or plan for long term ownership.
