Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
We're having a mini-blizzard over here, mostly due to one of those North Dakota cold blasts spilling over the mountains. Hard-packed slippery streets, deep drifting snow. I'm getting the odd sensation I am not getting any AWD. You know that FWD feeling with wheel spin and the front end wandering si...

Re: Looking for location of Oil Filter Transmission (Volvo S70 GLT)
Be certain you find the correct fill tube when you add ATF to this transmission. Some unfortunate people have remove the cap holding an internal spring and required a transmission teardown to replace.

Re: suggestion on stripped Torx
An easy out type tool hammered in to the screw head MIGHT back out that screw. I would try the helical type and grind the end to a close size match before hammering.

Re: 1990s 940 Station Wagon - Buying Advice
I am also planning to use the opportunity to replace all the important screws under that timing belt cover (used for pulleys and tensioners and the oil pump) with super duper heavy duty items. I found the excellent Volvo product catalog online and from the part numbers therein and a few hours of go...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
Turbo engine spark plug gap should be less. I think 0.028, but I don't have my manual to confirm. Even the photo shows your gap is way to wide. As others have said, they wear wider and then misfire. And likely damage the coils. And always check your new plugs yourself with a wire gaping tool. AND AL...

Re: Set screws for an electric scooter - question on what/where to buy
These look like standard SET SCREWS. They may be Metric or SAE threads depending on country of design. Just match the thread size and the length. Set screws come in different tip designs - flat, serrated, and dog end (a smaller diameter smooth end). Examine the mating part to see if there is a small...

Re: Sometimes I like to try to name flags on member list
https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/memberlist.php?start=98568 I just got Thailand correct. Netherlands and France I mix up. If you use the cursor to roll over (not mobile/tablet) the flag it'll say what it is, so you can just go down the list and try your hand bam bam bam. One missing : The D...
