Heat Soak

The problem has been solved.

It was a bad battery or defective Battery since it did start the car like a champ when the temperature was Hot.

When Cold it was hard to tell that battery failed.

2006 S60 2.5T AWD: turbo rebuild notes

Making a separate thread of this, because it's basically an addendum to the existing guide for doing a turbo rebuild yourself. Here's the existing guide: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/refurbish-a-volvo-turbo/ The original author, Peter - and, thank you - sourced a used turbo, rebuilt it, and the...

Re: FS: 1960 IH pickup and 1964 Rambler wagon

Stay clear of the “ start to see if it will run” let the buyers sort that out. Sell as a non-runner, as is, will not start. and don’t let the buyers start it either. Anyone who isn’t capable of a refurb is just a flipper who will low ball it , anyway. If there is no action, you can try get it runnin...

[SOLVED] Deer slammed side of 07 V50 2.4i. Cranks but no start [SOLVED]

Yes siree... BUT! I have good news: I got the Volvo started up! It appears there is a safety feature on the 2007 V50 2.4i (and possibly other variants), where the fuel pump is disabled after large impacts. Here are the steps I took to get it working, and a potential unknown(?) that may or may not ha...

Re: No luck with Tasca, need to order new lock cylinder keyed to VIN, good source?

End of the story. I don't like reading hanging threads. Anyway, I sucked it up and ordered the whole new lock cylinder pre-cut to my existing keys. After spending a good 1/4 of the value of the car, I had it home. Waited a week and got my courage up and got my Dremel out and tried the first bolt, on...

But did you take the tag off the mattress....?

Re: Looking at a 1998 V70 XC, advice wanted.

Back to your question on what wagon to buy. How old do you want to go, and how do you plan to use it (daily/weekend/sunny days), and finally your annual mileage. Next is do you want front wheel drive (FWD) or rear wheel drive (RWD)? If RWD the last cars made would be the 940's and 960/V90 wagons. I ...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

As we were being warned last week that there was colder weather coming and a chance of snow for yesterday, I decided to stop procrastinating and actually change the winter tires on our son's car for newer ones. The tires are coming up for 7 years old in the spring so with a tire sale on at Canadian ...
