Re: M4.3 to M 4.4: Really that simple?
Thanks Chuck. OK, will use rev_5b. What's the difference between the two? I noticed the rev_6 has launch control. Is rev_6 the latest version? How do I delete the rear O2. I don't see it under the Disable Diagnostics section. From the thread. As I recall the rev6 was experimental and I would not re...

Re: M4.3 to M 4.4: Really that simple?
I use a single 14V power-supply for my bench flashing. I connect the B8 to the save power source as the power pins.
You want 13.5V + on the bootloader pin to enable flashing.

Re: Odd 850 no start issue
Hrmmm. Well, what you really need, just to make sure that there are no non-ECU issues is a stock 98MY M4.4ECU. It will plug in and the car will run (*should*) OK, but the AC won't work. (We tested a '98V70R ECU in the wife's car for a bit, but it was WAAAAYY too aggressive). One from a '98 LPT car w...

Re: Odd 850 no start issue
Okay. I think I have found a 98 S70 GLT LPT manual ECU in a scrapyard reasonably close to me. My car is an auto, but I don't believe that should matter for this test but please tell me if I'm wrong. I will be going in the morning to pick it up. Thank you for the suggestion. That should be fine for ...

Re: 98 v70 t5 m56 motor swap
We swapped an '01 LPT motor in place of the motor in our '97 GLT (LPT). I swapped all of the accessories from the old to the new motor with 2 small issues (need to notch the timing belt cover slightly, and would need to drill and tap a boss for one of the accessory bracket bolt holes (or just leave ...

Re: 850 t5 ecu
Hi thanks I've seen that diagram but its semetrical no front or back That diagram tells you everything you need to know. If you are looking at the ECU, the B-bank is on the right. If you're looking at the ECU plug(with it unplugged from the ECU), it's on the left. The "top" of the ECU is ...

Re: Could this be why I’m still getting code P0117?
Those connectors suck when they start to get old. Why can't you drain the coolant? Collect it into a container and reuse it. You either need to replace the sensor, or try and clean the connections up and hope that helps. The harness side connector on my '97 T5 just fell apart when I was doing one wo...
