Re: '01 V70 T5 transmission fix,
I bought my 01 2.4t V70 5 plus years ago with 138,000 miles. The transmission shifted fine when I test drove it, so I bought the wagon. It took a couple of days for me to figure out if it still had the original neutral control, and it did. My initial inspection of just "looking" at the tra...

Re: Innova 3100c
I went to Walmart this morning and got the HT100 code reader. It was able to pull up a code....PO442, so I'm back to reading OBD2 faults again.

Re: Connecting "new" type CVVT reset valve
I went on FCP Euro and saw that a replacement solenoid for an 01 is the newer style connector that you mentioned. They give you two red wires and "seem" to say , tie them into your existing wires and go. Its just a solenoid, maybe it doesn't matter which way they are hooked up. Years back ...

Re: Robustness, reliability, problem areas of '01 5 speed manual trans?
I had an 01 V70 T5 and it shifted great. My current 06 S60 T5 has a 6 speed and that works great too. What I always worried about more than the tranny is the clutch slave cylinder. 100K on the tranny isn't high mileage if driven sensibly, but the slave cylinder on the wagon you are looking at could ...
