Re: Headlights go on and off randomly during day.
The circuit board is integrated into the switch/stalk assembly down in where the harness plugs in. The board doesn't look terribly complex but there is a little more than simple mechanical switches down in there.

Re: Control Arm Bushing
The rear bush is probably OK too. Though we can't see the actual bush in your picture, when it fails the LCA will float down when you jack the car up instead of acting like it's on a ball joint pivot point. The vertical position is being maintained in your picture so it's probably ok, at least for n...

Re: Busted control arm, needs new CV Half Shaft too… worth the work?
Personally I'd fix it, but it sounds like you're ready for something newer/much lower mileage that you mostly just need to worry about keeping the oil changed. Most cars, and Volvo is no exception, become maintenance heavy around/after 100k miles. The issue with these cars, if you consider it an iss...

Re: LED replacement bulbs, 2008 S60
The OE 7507 incandescent bulb is 25 watts and about 280 lumens. 1500 lumens is more like 5x. That's way too bright and could blind somebody directly behind you, particularly at night. The turn signal bulbs are monitored. Our cars are more sophisticated about this and look for the correct rated curre...

Re: 2012 S60 T6 AWD - Sitting around for 10 months
On a 5-6 year old car the main concern would be how dirty the engine oil was when they parked it. If the oil wasn't fairly fresh suspended particulates will tend to settle to the bottom of the pan over that amount of time. Then stir up all at once potentially plugging the sump screen or filter. Imme...

Re: buy control arms or press bushings?
What Matt's talking about applies to the bushes on the rear end which work different in the way they're mounted/rotate in the control arms/subframe. On the front P2 LCAs the bushing ride height is preset when you press the bushes into the LCA with a 10 ton press (off the car). Many other OEs (and ol...

Re: Water in Gas
How do vehicles that run on E85 deal with this problem? I've seen water in my fuel filter-- one time last summer I disconnected and poured the contents of the filter into a glass jar. From the amount of water observed in the bottom of the jar it would seem that the bottom half of the filter below th...

Re: Water in Gas
That's a lot of water. You might look at the station where you last purchased gas as a possible cause. It happens. Once a year or so locally I'll hear of some station where their underground tank didn't get sealed properly after a delivery and a torrential rain ends up in people's fuel tanks. Or the...

Re: Vida 2014D Times out 12/31/2017 23:59
Mr Brain we might be over thinking this. Well, maybe, maybe not... I perused the files on the iso and researched more before attempting this install. Go figure I forgot to pack the DiCE interface...so I can't test vehicle communication while I'm in Chicago for the next few weeks, but I don't expect...

Re: 2003 S60 Starts then dies immediately
the location was described as truck spare tire right side. I will look for it at the top of the tank as suggested above. Thank you! :D They were originally placed at the top of the tank at the factory. That location turned out to be problematic because of corrosion. If/when they failed and a dealer...
