Re: Spark plug fouling. Bad coil or cylinder problem?
The Falcon sprung a misfire after running fine all year and then not driven for about a month, now when started it's running "something is very wrong" rough, to the point it's not drivable. Codes only indicate cylinder 5 misfire. Haven't poked at it yet; thanks for this thread, do please ...

Re: 1999 V70 GLT missing hose from vacuum system.
Here you go...
Pretend red hoses aren't there, they aren't part of this.

Re: 1999 V70 Codes, Dash Lights, and Oil Smell
Your foot shouldn't need to be to the floor for small hills. I have one or two widow makers out this way that require a little gas, but nothing like that.
Sounds like you may have purchased a great car for an even better price that just needs a little work =)

Re: MAF Sensor issues
If the MAF is unplugged, does the idle still surge? If so, odds are it isn't the MAF causing that particular issue.

Re: 1999 V70 Codes, Dash Lights, and Oil Smell
If it is the ABS wheel speed sensors - they're located right behind the calipers if you remove the wheels. Should be two wires coming out of it, brown and black if my memory is correct (don't trust it, I don't...)

Re: Should I consider buying 2004 C70 with manual 5 speed
I like to ask why they're getting rid of it. If I see a shiny new car in the driveway it is obvious usually, other times it may be because a car has had one problem too many. If they disclose the problems, I'm more likely to buy it as then I know what I'm getting into. When I am told there are no pr...

Re: New catalytic converter
Odds are the J hose is the issue as you suspect - assuming the gas cap is sealing correctly and the fuel neck is intact. The J hose tends to crack on the side not facing you or only displays itself when being flexed. My current plan is to replace mine with a piece of silicone hose with a stainless s...

Re: 1998 S70 2.5T Car stopped and does not start
Do you smell petrol at the exhaust pipe when attempting to start it? If so, fuel injection is working. If not, then you have pressure to the rail but are likely lacking a signal from the ECU.

Re: 1999 V70 AWD Replacing TCV with bad exhaust
The TCV only controls the wastegate on ours. The blow-off (CBV) is run directly from the intake manifold.
With the back pressure from the bad/clogged/melted cat I wouldn't expect good boost. We have low pressure turbos.
