Re: psychedelic rear view mirror

Thanks pgill, Just to confirm...if we send the mirror to the company in TX as you mentioned in the other thread: https://www.radar-mirror.com/product/auto-dimming-mirror-repair-display/ 1. Do they use your mirror as a template, then they provide their own mirror, with the window cut for the compass...

Re: Power steering pump failure - twice

The Reservoir has a filter built into the bottom of it.

You should replace the reservoir.

The Land Rover Freelander II shares a lot of parts with the Volvo S80.

Take a look at this link

Re: Brakes locking up LF/RR

The Master Cylinder has two chambers. One applies pressure to the RF/LR The other applies pressure to the LF/RR The ABS module does manage both of these circuits (Which is why it has 2 inputs from the master cylinder and 4 outputs one to each wheel) If the piston in the master cylinder doesn't retra...

Re: Rad Hoses Blowing Apart

I would do what you listed. And I would caution you to use original parts for the Thermostat and the Hoses. Aftermarket Thermostats are know to fail early (I've seen the video but I couldn't determine the manufacturer of the failed part but it was definitely not a Volvo or Land Rover part) If it is ...

Re: $10,000 S80 Challenge

MVS Readers, I've been busy so I haven't had a lot of time to work on the Volvo. I do have a few updates. 1. I started this thread to chronicle the S80 and see what it would cost me (Repairs) and my son (Fuel) and to see if it could be done inexpensively. 2. My Son bough a new car, so maybe I shoul...
