Re: 2007 S60 Headlight double trouble.
Update. I performed surgery on the torn ball joint connection. I have removed the headlight and found that the whole internal lamp housing is loose. The ball joint on bottom is broken, the two threaded adjustment posts were disengaged. The external frame does not seem to have tabs that pop free wit...

Re: 2007 S60 Headlight double trouble.
I believe the headlights on at 9oclock and 12oclock is US Canada setting. all lights off at 9oclock is EU setting, changable in VIDA. as for DRLs most people just leave the switch at 12oclock but i have fitted white switcback LEDs to the "city lights" and rewired them to activate with ign...

2007 S60 Headlight double trouble.
My 2007 salvaged S60 is nearly state approved and ready, now for the nuisance issues. #1 - The left headlight is aimed roughly 30 degrees up reaching for the sky. The worm drive was not engaging, I screwed it fully in, and it is now stuck, I am considering forcing it to turn, but concerned I might r...

Re: Replacing 2005 Xenon HID light assembly with 2003 Standard?
Thanks for the tips. I'll see if that's doable or order up some newer model lights. I see a good set of 2009 Halogen lights on ebay, will I need to do any reconfiguration because they are not Xenon HID? Does 2005 "compatible" come with caveat? The 2003 lights are returnable to the junkyard...

Re: Replacing 2005 Xenon HID light assembly with 2003 Standard?
So the result of this was that my 2005 was NOT compatible with the "2001-2005" headlight. The wiring harness doesn't mate. Maybe it is compatible to replace Halogen for Halogen, but my smashed 05 is the Xenon HID lights. Thought I would share so maybe to save someone else the headache.

Replacing 2005 Xenon HID light assembly with 2003 Standard?
The overall question: Can I replace the headlamp assembly from a 2005 Xenon HID with a 2003 standard bulb system without an electrical/voltage issue? The story: I have undertaken the restoration process of my totalled 2005 S60. Geico estimated $5K in repairs to a $3K car.... toast! That's the bad ne...

Re: 2005 S60 main headlamp Xenon low beam replacement. Cramped!
Ok, after a lot of cursing and scraping up my hands I was able to remove the casing around the control module to get a bit more room on the passenger side and wriggle my hand in there to undo the clip and pull loose the Xenon headlight assembly. I didn't unclip the wire, therefore it's free in there...

S60 main beam replacement. Cramped!
Hello again. What a great day to be forced to be at home, doing headlights! Darn the luck, BOTH of the main beams have failed in the same week. I was able to do the daytime head lights last year with no issues, but the main low beam light is insanely cramped. A brief search provided mixed results. T...

Re: Coronavirus Thread
It’s going to be a very bad weekend in NY. I’m not in a great mental or emotional state over this. God Bless all. Hang in there. I think the curve will peak sooner than believed. I think it's unfortunate that we're sheltering in our homes in a place like Kansas City, it doesn't fit for us or most o...
