2005 V70 5 speed available
Hey Folks... I just ran across an 05 V70 Base 5speed. It's showing 90,000 miles and the owner says it has a bad trans. He has a replacement trans but is a bit more of a project to install than he was willing to take on. I'm just wondering if there is any interest in the 5 speed cars? I don't think t...

Re: 2000 V70 Headlight
Thanks guys...some good options...I've never been happy with the lighting on the V70s...I drive a LOT...right at a million miles on my three wagons and night driving in the V70s is sketchy at best especially in the rain. I've thought about doing a retrofit projector in the original housings...the cl...

Hey Folks... I just picked up another v70...My GLT now has over 350,000 miles. I found a low mileage non-turbo southern car in great condition to replace my GLT when if finally decides to give up...That may never happen! LOL I'm wondering of there are any headlight options for these cars...my 850 tu...

Re: How many miles can a V70 go?
Hey 98v70...Southern cars are definitely less prone to corrosion issues andit sure makes bolt removal a lot easier too. I would suspect that electrical connections etc. last longer too. Most cars in the rural south have a pretty easy life. Not a lot of hard city stop and go driving...not many mounta...

Re: How many miles can a V70 go?
So far I've not replaced one on either car...We do have one thing here in MS that may help...many stations still offer non-ethanol fuel.

Re: How many miles can a V70 go?
I'd like to think the 2.3 2.4 5s could run for 4-500,000 miles. neither of mine see to be showing any signs of giving up. Hey Showell...I'm down in Mississippi...no road salt, so the exhaust look fine...I'll knock on wood here...but I've never even had an O2 sensor go. Never thought about a manual c...

Re: 2002 V70 Passenger Window/Lock switch
Thanks for the reply abscate
This is the Electronic window/lock switch on the door.
What I need to know is if a used switch can be reprogramed with VIDA to work on my car.
I think a new switch is almost 500 dollars and then has to be programed.

2002 V70 Passenger Window/Lock switch
I know there have been several post on what these switches control and such. Mine died after a battery disconnect and reconnect. Pretty sure it's a bad capacitor on the board...at some point I may try to replace them and see if that fixes the switch. My question is, can a switch from another V70 be ...
