Thanks.
Radiator cooling fan runs when AC is on.
Misfire goes away if we restart the engine. Misfire will not be present if the AC is off.
Is the compressor dragging the engine down? I am not sure how to tell that based on what I see.

Random misfire when AC is on
2004 V70 NA 5spd at 286k mileage. Wagon runs well if air conditioning is off. When AC is on , the car will throw P0300 and P0420 code. Check engine light will flash and show "Try to slow down or shift up" message. If I keep driving, the car will run rough and hard to keep speed over 50 mph...

1993 850 GLT 5spd won't start
1993 850 GLT 5spd won't start. Engine still turns, so we suspect no fuel delivery. We tried another fuel pump, still won't start. We tried to read code from the box, no reading from the A2 socket. Is it electrical problem? Please share your wisdom. Thank you.

1995 Volvo 850 Turbo Wagon Engine Swap Question
I posted my questions before about my 1995 Volvo 850 high pressure turbo wagon misfiring. I was hoping for the minor problems , but it turns out that two cylinder have no compression. The car has mileage around 163K, no overheating or other problems. My mechanic suggests some valves are bad and it's...

Re: 1995 850 Trubo Wagon misfire
We did a PCV job a month ago, messed with a few vacuum hoses before we got it straight. Will check that. Thanks.

Re: 1995 850 Trubo Wagon misfire
I am wondering why it was running fine for an hour and suddenly acted like that. Thank you.

1995 850 Turbo Wagon misfire
The mileage is around 170k, was running fine until we did a quasi-tuneup. The spark plugs, copper Bosch, were replaced in summer and running fine. I got 27-28 MPG on highway. I replaced the distributor cap, rotor, Bosch from IPD. After quasi-tuneup, I drove on highway and felt it's normal. After an ...

Re: 850 Turbo PCV Idea
Robert, I like you videos. I really enjoyed them. However, I could not agree with you on this. The original design might not be the best for all, otherwise the engineering is not improving. There is almost always a better way/cheaper way to do the same job. I believe the PCV system on volvo could be...

Re: 850 Turbo PCV Idea
Then we can fit a oil catch can for it. It's not complicated. Agree? Quite a bit of oil finds its way through each one of those hoses (except the one from the turbo/intake - that's mostly just vacuum). That's a lot of oil to dump into the intake. Turbo cars generally have some kind of altered system...

850 Turbo PCV Idea
It's been a mystery among volvo owners about the expensive PCV job. Other cars need $3 PCV valve while we spend $100+ for the simple PCV system. I am wondering if anyone could use a common pcv valve to solve the problem as many other cars. Please tell me what is wrong with my thought. On top of engi...
