I'm not sure of your model, but on my mom's '94, she was having simular stall problems. The dealer, everyone was stumped. I did a little research and found that there is a thing called a power module or power buster, which is inline with the ignition system. It is located on the driverside fender we...

I had gotten a set of the subject plugs from IPD, and they worked fine for a while, then I started getting random cly missfire codes. Turned out it was a non-turbo plug! Don't know if it's their cataloge, or just bad luck.

I'm not sure what the box is your talking about, however I was able to find a copy of VADIS software on Ebay. Paid $40 bucks for it, and it has been a life saver in my rebuild project. I've found part numbers in there that are not listed on-line as being available, but will show up in a search.

I agree that it's the module, but I'm not sold on DIY for the repair. Reading some posts on the subject, some of the pins are stated to require a lot of heat in order for the solder to reflow properly. I work in aerospace, and am NASA certified in soldering. Without knowing the scematic or what's un...

MadeInJapan, Your diagram is absolutely correct. I have a 98 V70 T5, currently with 278,000 miles on it. I like this car enough, that I've purchased a used motor and trany, which I've just finished rebuilding, and will be swaping out up at IPD, as well as adding a stage III kit. Here's a link to the...
