Just wanted to post these "directions" for anyone else dealing with the heater hoses...Daisywagon (local mechanic) was great. I stopped by, and they pulled their head mechanic to explain how to fix the heater hose connection. He spent 35+ min's all told - trying to pull up Vadis type direc...

Ok, that's the best description I have... when under the car tonight, I noticed (among much other mayhem) that on the passenger side front axle, there is a threaded ring that surrounds the axle shaft that looked crooked in the case - like I could see into the transaxle...I know it's not the best pic...

Ok, but to verify - there are two of them; one on passenger & one on driver's side. Do they pop into the shroud/belly pan that I took off to drain the radiator?

I would assume freon low - I would guess when the thief was working on it he let the gas out and assumed it wouldn't be checked on the test drive. HA HA HA HA - Had the car serviced? Went to drain the radiator per previous advice and the petcock is broken off. How else do I drain the radiator? The lowest hose's clamp is pointing up, hoping not to have to cut it off.
