Re: 850 Coolant Expansion Bottle Leak

Mine looks to be leaking at the same place. :( I guess it is comforting to know it is a common problem.

Re: PVC and Rear Main Seal

If you want to know if your PCV is working after replacement, pull the off the hose above the PTC and start the car up. If it's blowing out, it's working. If not, it's plugged somewhere. After I replaced the PCV system, I still had smoke coming out the dipstick. I just have more blowby than the PCV ...

Re: Door pops when opening

I have the same problem with the passenger side door. I was able to tighten the bolts up a bit that allowed for less flex, but if you over tighten, you can snap it off. I'm just going to live with it for now.

Re: running with the oil dipstick removed, PCV issue resolve

I've been driving several months with the dipstick ajar ~1/4 inch. More than that and oil splatters all over. I have a catch can I got of eBay to put on, but I have not had a chance to install it yet. If you want to know if the PCV is working, just pull it off from the intake tube and start the car....

Re: Rear door on station wagon kinda loose/rattles alot

I suggest after you take the rear panel off to drive around first and make sure there are not additional rattles to take care of first.

Re: Torx screws, spark plugs... and turbo (1994 850 turbo)

You can use a bolt extractor to get them out. It's like a bit that bites into the head as you turn it counter clockwise. Then replace the bolts with new ones.

Re: Wiper blades (don't buy rain-x)

Also, using Rain-X on the windshield can make aging wipers chatter less. It's just annoying to reapply.

Re: Fan Blower Occasionally Won't Work

My blower motor resistor was faulty on my 850 ECC controlled. The blower would work, but not at full speed. Sometimes it would not work at all and other times it would. Finally it stopped working completely. It was about $115 from FGP. The slider light never changed for me, but I was able to pull th...

Re: Climate unit blower replacement

Thanks for the writeup. I had fault code 418 from B1 "No control signal to blower fan power stage". My blower speed has been acting up for several months and finally would not come on. I replaced the blower resistor and now the blower works again. AUT still does not work, but that is fine ...

If it makes you feel better, the same thing happened to me. I had no bulbs out before replacing the gear, but after one is out behind the trip computer display.
