Houston TX 95 850 turbo parts car available
Yes, I read the "read me first" and it did not address the issue but I am hesitant to post a for sale here....I can use Craig's List for that but I'd rather the car go to a Volvo enthusiast. My wife hit a curb a curb at about 40 mph (right front wheel) but since she was driving me to the h...

volvo 850 turbo steering rack
It appears that my 95 Volvo 850 turbo's steering rack is compromised after a curb strike at about 40 mph. I've just replaced the bent wheel and strut. A test drive showed the power steering to be rough and pulling to one side....you have to rotate the steering wheel about 45 degrees from the neutral...

My Vadis software from eBay runs fine under Vista. You do have
to run it as an administrator user though. Phil

Please try to post a larger picture... it is almost impossible
to tell what that is. Also, what are its dimensions?

Re: '96 850 front brake scraping sound...I think?
The smaller threaded hole is likely for what I will call a locator pin....
if the pin were there it would fit into a hole in the wheel such that the
wheel is put on in the same position every time it is removed and put
back on. good luck, Phil

Re: Passenger Strut Mount
The thing you see in the engine compartment is the strut mount.
When I did my first strut replacement myself, I did not get the
nut at the very top tight enough... compare the side with the replacement
to the side that was left alone to see how much thread is showing
above the nut. good luck, Phil

1995 850 turbo tools question for intake manifold removal
I've seen several mentions of use of 1/4 in. sockets, universal
joint, and "long" extension required for removal of the intake
manifold. Can someone tell me how long of an extension is
needed? I have the universal and sockets and two extensions,
one 3" and one 6". thanks, Phil

Re: brake dust shields to keep wheels clean
Thanks for the link on the Rotex pads. Though its only been
about 10K miles since a dealer 4-wheel brake job, the price of the pads compared to the cost of the shields make it kind of
an attractive alternative. Phil
