Re: Volvo S60 AWD 2002 Driver's side power window switch

If the problem reoccurs or to prevent it from reoccurring disconnect and reconnect the connector at the front of the door where the electrical harness runs from the door post on the body, to the forward frame of the drivers door. Note: Applying tune-up grease to the face of the connector will help k...

Re: Drivers door window wont work with engine running

I and others have had the same problem, before you do anything expensive try the following; It may be related to a problem in the connector located on the front of the door frame near where the door hinges are. Disconnect the harness and connector from the front of the door, check to see it is clean...

Re: 2002 s60 awd, srs-airbag service urgent

If you only have the yellow caution light with the "SRS-airbag service urgent" message and the red indicator for the airbags illuminates and then extinguishes normally when the engine is started the airbags are functional and working normally. The problem is that you have a latched fault i...

Re: S60 Starting Problems

I had this exact problem on my car for a few years and it really only acted up in the fall and winter but was getting worse. The car has a 2.4T low pressure turbo with 130,000 miles . I just replaced all 5 coils with the IPD HD coils only because the original coils were 10 years old and I had my sus...

Re: Passenger Door Module causing window problems ?

Jools You have done a lot of work. Did you try to disconnect, clean and reconnect the connector on the harness running from the car body to the front frame of the passneger door it may just be corroded or dirty contact in the connector. It can be done as follows; With the ignition off, open the pass...

Re: S60 Drivers Window Sticks until I restart car

There is a wire harness and connector on the front frame of the door. The connector may have an intermittent connection which normally allows the window to work properly when the car is off but becomes intermittent when the car is started. With the ignition off, open the drivers door as far as possi...

Re: Volvo S60 AWD 2002 Driver's side power window switch

It is necessary to remove the door lining to remove the DDM since there is a screw inside the door lining that holds the module to the lining. The module or the lining will be damaged if you just try to pry ther module out. Removing the door lining is a very simple job. There are 8 button rivets whi...

Re: S60, 2.4, 2002, Timing Belt Jumped/Slipped?

This is an interesting situation. I you did not hit anything with the car just applying the brakes hard will not cause the belt to come off even it the anti-skid did not work at the time. The fact that the belt is still on means that the individual parts of the system like the water pump and idler a...

Re: Auto window wont go back up! Help!

If you have not tried it already, push down on each of the window switches to see if the window will move down further and then try it up again. if this does not make a difference, it may be a fuse or the window motor/mechanism. The owners manual has a list of fuses, Make sure the fuses are good, Th...

Re: trany fluid on 2006 V70..any synthetic will do?
