I'm thinking that the reason why the trip computer isn;t working is because it isn;t getting a signal from the cluster. As a result can not calculate MPG ETC

Hi All, As you may be aware i am replacing the cluster on my 1996 to a VDO with trip computer, However i have come up against a few issues, i plugged the cluster in and the trip computer worked but half the lights didn;t work. Ambient Temp Sensor
Hi All, You might have seen in recent posts i'm installing a VDO dash with trip computer to my 850 that was fitted with a Yazaki cluster. So got all the bits bar one, the ambient temp sensor. This is the sensor that displays the temp on the dash not the air condition/water coolant sensor. I have thr...

Re: Another Trip Computer Question
Right it appears that you can't fit a trip computer to a Yazaki cluster. I checked with Volvo. As a result I now had to fit a VDO cluster. So here is my next question can you fit a VDO cluster to a car that was installed with a Yazaki cluster? Mine is a 850 2.5n/a 10v 1995 P Reg UK model. On another...

Re: Throttle Body Pipes - Help
Hi All, Cheers think we are getting to the bottom of this. The answer earlier questions the 10vs in the UK where fitted with the same throttle bodies that are found on T5's. They have a 55mm throttle body plate rather than a 65mm plate which is found outside of the EU it appears. The two holes on th...

Re: Throttle Body Pipes - Help
So my question would be if I install the one from the 20v do you think that buy not connecting the two pipes that go into then10v it will cause issues?
Mine a manual as well if that makes any different.
I have found a machine shop that will add the holes if need be.

Throttle Body Pipes - Help
Hi all, Hopefully you can help, If you look at the attached picture i have two throttle bodies. The one on the bottom right has two pipes coming off it, which on closer inspection have two small holes going into the throttle body. However they don't appear to create a vacuum or anything. The throttl...

Re: Another Trip Computer Question
Checked with Volvo and they seem to think that only the VDO clusters can accept the dash computer. However they did confirm in the 850 no software update is required to the ECU as it is a self contained unit which is good news. But the back of my Yazaki cluster has the same green connections as you ...

Re: Throttle body
Hi Jblackburn thats the mod i'm doing atm. The issue i have found is that in the UK the 10vs have all been fitted with a throttle body from a T5. So i've got a plate but trying to find a 20v throttle body in the uk is really difficult, however there seems to be loads of the 97-00 P1 V70 throttle bod...
