I have the 1999 V70 XC turbo how do you get the level(float) sensor off, I have a leak and after changing hoses to no avail found the leak was coming from where the sensor enters the tank so I'm trying to change it.

After just replacing the alternator and catalytic convertor to the tune of $2000 and lots of work such as PCV breather box, front struts and much more is it worth replacing the transmission when I can't do this type of work myself? I am in a quandry.

'99 V70 XC turbo 157,000 is having problems reversing, feels like it is in neutral when I try to rverse.
