ya...good question...my 850 turbo micro crank mark is one tooth away from TDC also?
maybe these 3 marks are just alighment marks and the micro notch crank mark is NOT a TDC refrence mark...?

My tensioner did not match up to the pully flange it was not as tall as the one that came out in my kit! I was told by FOP Groton to call the Volvo dealer, give them the correct engine number etc. and get the correct part number so Groton could send me the correct tensioner!!!...so yes... I guess ...

but if I had to do it again ..I would pull out the serpentine pully FOR SURE.. the part problem was with the tensioner not being as tall as the one that came out so yes it will go back. One thing I did learn/try and it ...

This is a VERY diffuclt job! due to the VERY tight clearances at the pully..not for the weak at hand or bad backs, etc. the problem is... it wasnt ment to be insttalled this way!, so the bad thing is kinking the belt, and twisting to get it on the sproket! not good for the belt...it seams almost ...

Thats what I thought...to get to those cables/guides the roof must come out
the cable is $100 buck new..so an entire sunroof may be a good way to go if the used cables are good(:

But the problem here is how does one remove the cable and/or guide?
on mine the cable is stuck inside the guide, I pulled and pulled with pliers at both ends and its stuck big time
in the tube guide (as for olpossum ) so it appears the guide and ...

well I found one cable (drivers side) stuck in its steel tube guide. Now it wont budge at all! even with pliers.
now Ive asked what to do to get the cable out.. No responses yet.

I have one of the two cables that moves the sunroof back and forth stuck! why its stuck is beyond me, but maybe rust and silt in there, unfortunately there is no way to get any cleaner spray in there... the fit is tight between the cable and guide
