I am test driving a 2006 XC70. Overall, it seems like a good car.
The navigation system powers on, pops up but will not read the disk.
I have cleaned the disk, it does not look perfect, but not really scratched either.
Really, the nav system is not a make or break on buying the car.

An update on my blower motor issue. I was seeing the changing of speed, as stated above.
It kept getting worse. Finally the fan would not start. I could bang the dash just

To answer my own question....
I found out that if I have the radio that has just the single disk player,
you can just plug the aftermarket wiring harness that you get from Crutchfield,
directly into the wiring harness of the 2002 XC.
All will work fine.

What ended up happening is, my mechanic ended up getting frustrated with the problem.
He ended up putting a hunk of wire in the fuse location, and waited for something to start smoking.
