Re: Loose covering on steering wheel

I have heard that some inject some glue with a needle, but I just get thick aftermarket covers at the jy. Sometimes I get lucky and there are some very good ones, for a buck or two.

Re: 90 740 GLE random stalls then no start (for 20min)

As lummert said. But also, change the power stage. These are a frequent source of random no starts. CPS is also possible. "fuel injector relay was checked awhile back (had to be rewired after it came loose) " If you mean the radio suppression relay which is the fuel injection relay, a blac...

As said in the other Regina no start thread, check the contacts inside the coil. What codes do you get?
ECU, only a Regina one will work.

Re: 740 wont start

As above, what code exactly? I have never seen a post about a bad Regina ECU, on any board. Don't fire the parts cannon. Regina does suffer from corrosion in the coil; apparently there are two contacts inside that can be polished. "No constant fuel pressure at the rail" How was this arrive...

Re: 740 wont start

What year? Bosch or Regina? What code exactly? OP said 'cps' so this tends to indicate lh2.4 or Regina, but certainty would be helpful. No tach indicates no spark/no cps, so maybe the new one is no good, or there is a problem with the tone ring, which has happened. Of various possibilities, the cps ...

Re: Newbie with a 940.. questions...questions...

Almost all rwd 15-16" wheels will fit. The only ones that won't are the Virgo, which will hit the brakes. Aries, Omega, Hydra, Adhara, Draco, and others are some of the wheels I have put on my 740's and 940's. Fwd wheels will bolt up but not work as the offset is different. Many other wheels fo...

Re: running rough under power

You have even compression... but what value? Is there any loss of oil or coolant that isn't explained by leaks etc? If not, and decent comp values, you don't need a head gasket. Too many mechs 'shoot from the lip' and say something just to seem like they know something.

Year? model? Serp belt? none of these cars had one, only v-belts.
Bolts, well the designers probably had a good reason to include the one now missing...
