From what I can tell my exhaust is all stock - I was re-fixing my AC leak (caused by sweat and fixed by putting a little gutter and a tube) BUT i notice when i remove my carpet on the passenger side the upper and lower part of the trans hump and part of the floor are freaking hot. changes rear lube and put in some friction modifier from GM - 99% of it gone after about 100 miles...

99xc 70 - 120k - all drive train new - everything. here is a high pitched whine while underway - its starts at 10 mph and stays constant. It stops completely at 10 mph. Start and it comes on at 10 mph... Sitting in rear passenger ...

no real issues with the car - I had the same issue with my old 164 Volvo - for the ac compressor - it had a long length of belt. It would vibrate like hell at a certain rpm - that York compressor was horrible.

This is the same thing - its to long - I solved the problem on the 164 with an idler ...

dont think so - if it was slipping it would make a noise - beside it would slip all the time not just a a certain rpm

Thinking about getting a 2014 - FWD, would you do it? I can buy a 8 year 120k extended warranty for 2200 bucks if I need to.

Turned out to be the Coil - No error codes - MORAL - symptoms like mine should be approached from the upstream side. Start with the coil first then workd down to the plug wires MAP and FPR -
