Had camshaft oil seal replaced $340. Volvo dealer wanted $1200. Now have engine light code Poo11.

2001 S 80 6 cylinder, had camshaft seals replaced, and now have check engine light on, Code P0011. Camshaft position actuator, bank 1 timing over advanced.
What is necessary to correct?

Have had oil leak. Volvo dealer advised cam seal leaking $1200, or may be caused by air box $850. Drove 65 miles and leaked or blew out 3 quarts of oil. Is there a way to flush out air box? if so how and where is it located?

Our 2001 S 80 has 150,000 miles and front pads were replaced at 77,000 miles and 149,000 miles. If pads wear down to metal to rotor you should hear a squeaking sound. Rear pads replaced at 125,000 miles. Most cars have 80% breaking on front brakes and 20% on rear.

2001 S80 remote will not unlock rear door on drivers side. Any suggestions?

Most parts houses like Auto Zone loans special tools. Try You Tube web site, and type in changing A/C clutch on your year and model, and will probably
have a video.

Your S70 with 105 miles needs the timing belt and spark plugs changed and should be good for another 100,000 miles. we have a 2001 S80 none turbo with 147,00 miles and it has been great. Plan to drive at least another 50,000 miles.

My 2001 S 80 Volvo had a noise on passenger side when traveling over bump. The replaceable top socket is rubber coded and had worn down to metal after 140,000 miles. Purchased a new one from Volvo parts in Atlanta for $65 ? and local independent shop charged $120 labor to remove and replace.

Ignition key will not turn on at times. Have used graphite dust and WD 40 spray. One of the tumblers must stick. Any suggestions as Volvo dealer quotes $500 to replace ignition.

Put a can of freon in and AC blowed 40 degree air. Several hours later took the car out and had 40 degree air for about 5 minutes and quit cooling. Compressor is coming on and off every few seconds. Any suggestions? I have not put an additional can of freon since to unit blowed 40 degree air twice ...
