Had loads of problems with starting as described here.
Replaced just about everything ( 1998 V70 2litre 10 valve )
Fuel relay, camshaft sensor, coil unit - everytime it seemed to sort the problem but then it reappeared.
Antenna ring just replaced started beautifully ... but time will tell.

:cry: Runs well from cold but refuses to start when hot. Replaced fuel pump relay, engine temperature senor still the same - will not restart. Checked for spark - no spark - could it be the coil?
Engine spins well before stopping abruply ( ecu telling it there is a problem perhaps??)

Check replace antenna ring. Had similar problems tried everything, replaced lots of things, antenna ring is the surround of the ignition key barrel and is a known fault.... apparently. It is a cheap part to replace. If faulty it in effect immobilises the engine - can be random. Could try taking key ...

Had similar problem - replaced several parts - found to be antenna ring ( plastic surround of ignition key barrel ) it links with the key and deactivates immobiliser if working properly. Known fault. Cheap to replace - give it a try.
