Re: 98 V70:Cabin Blower Speed Vehicle Speed Sensitive?

I'm having the same issue! I replaced my ECC with a junkyard unit and that's when the issue started. Mine had a faulty temp control knob. I think the junkyard unit was from a 99 or 00 and my car is an 98 S70. I dont have the software mentioned above. Is my only solution to find a unit from a 98? Yo...

Re: 98 V70:Cabin Blower Speed Vehicle Speed Sensitive?

You have no idea how long I searched for this solution - 6 years as a matter of fact. When I started reading your thread a few weeks ago it hit me like a ton of bricks because you were encountering exactly the same issues I saw on my early 1998 S70 T5A. And I just handed the write-up of your solutio...

Re: 1999 S70 T5 Would you buy car online?

I did it last year. Sold my 1998 S70 NA with 170k miles on it and picked up a 1998 S70 T5A for something in the same ballpark you're looking at. Though mine was a one owner, immaculately maintained and only had 52k miles on it. And I was able to check it out in person. Though buying it over the inte...

Re: 1998 S70 T5A, Not your typical blower motor issue

Thanks to all of you, this is primarily what I was looking to confirm - is something that sends a signal to the blower malfunctioning and where else I should look. Because I've definitely tackled the usual culprits and none of them have fixed the problem. And you've confirmed I'm not crazy, there's ...

1998 S70 T5A, Not your typical blower motor issue

I'm opening a new thread here because all I'm doing is talking to myself over on Volvospeed. http://volvospeed.com/vs_forum/topic/163956-erratic-climate-control-blower-response-1998-s70-t5a/ Here's the deal: So I've been encountering some erratic behavior from the blower in my 1998 S70 T5A and tryin...

Rob, when did the new axle go on? Before the shaking started or after?

Re: 98 V70 T-5 Manual Transmission

Actually, the 98-2000 T5 numbers and my own experience in tracking the sales of these models is that there are FAR more sedans than wagons with the manual transmission. I don't have the exact production numbers in front of me but I see 10 used S70 T5Ms on the market for every 1 V70 T5M. Edit, here a...

Re: 00 V70 Suddenly No Blower

Treat me like I'm ignorant here. What's the best approach for replacing / repairing the connector? Looks like this is my issue also.
