S80 coolant overflow tank 2nd hose??

What is the second hose connected to the S80 coolant overflow tank top? It goes down and into the engine cover. I bought a replacement coolant tank and it only has one hose nipple on top/ I'll be ordering the right part, but I'm curious where that other hose goes.

Re: 05 S80 replacing HID bulbs - REMOVE THE BUMPER??!

You guys are awesome. :-) cross reference with other websites on the bulb as some say Xenon while others Bi-Xenon? Let us know how it turns out? It appears that Xenon means xenon hi beam and halogen low beam. What I have is Bi-Xenon, where the bulb shifts position to change the aim on the beam, but...

05 S80 replacing HID bulbs - REMOVE THE BUMPER??!

Is it true I have to remove the front bumper in order to change the HID bulbs in my 05 S80? I'll admit, I can't see an easy way into them from the back. And, does anyone know exactly which bulbs it takes? There are large rectangular cooling fins on the back of the headlamp area, not a circular cover...

87 in Seattle

87 is regular here, 91 is high octane. I generally use 87 in my 2005 S80 T6, but I drive gently. If I want to give it a treat once in a while I'll do a tank of 91, usually after a price drop. It seems to eat anything happily, but it is a little more punchy with 91.

Unwilling 4!

I wish I was a 3, but when the motor blew, and then the tranny blew a year later, I learned how to do a top end, tranny swap, rebuild, lower, front axles, rear shocks, water pump, and more than I ever wished. Then again, I saved enough to buy my used S80, so thank you forum for all the help!!

Only if WE have total control over the system and data it makes.

IF it can be disabled or not report to Volvo or anyone else I might say yes. I wouldn't mind if it watch me for drowsiness late at night. BUT if it removes my privacy in the slightest I'll disable the camera or buy a different car. Always. 100%.

Re: POLL: How did you buy from FCP?

Should allow multiple options. I had to click other. I have bought off a link in a post, off a banner, off a bookmark in my browser and by typing directly in the browser bar. But ALL of those purchases were made because of recommendations for FCP quality and service I heard here on MVS.

value brands for 2005 CV axle? Topic is solved

Hi - I need to replace my drivers side CV axle on my 05 T6 S80. I'm looking at 5 more years from this car, and hoping to avoid $350 for the part. But I know there are cheap chinese knockoffs that fail quickly. Any recommendations on reliable parts for light use at a decent value??
