Re: Build your own TCV, save 50%
In case anyone is wondering, the hose routing of this model is exactly the opposite of the IPD HD TCV. It should be connected: Port 2 - compressor Port 1 - wastegate Port 3 - fresh air (or block it off like I did) You will kill your engine if you get them mixed up , so to be safe blow through the si...

Re: OBX downpipe/exhaust on LHD?
I can confirm that the OBX angled downpipe just fits on a Right Hand Drive C70. I still had to cut away much of the steel support/protection for the steering rack, but at least now it fits! It seems as if the straight flange downpipe extends about 2 inches further to the right of the car than the an...

Logging ignition timing and LTFT - what is normal?
Hi I have finally got my OBX downpipe exhaust on my car and have become interested in monitoring how it is actually going before going further. I am also running a MBC at 14psi. I dont have any issues with the car, apart from me wanting more power out of it. And I dont really have a baseline to comp...

Re: Replace turbo housing (straight->angled)
Thanks Lee, I have bought the o-ring, washers and gasket. I had another look and will pull it all out. Last think I want is to do all the work and then find out that some movement of the pipes starts a leak somewhere. jblackburn - The angled flange is significantly larger in diameter, but I am not d...

Replace turbo housing (straight->angled)
Hi, I am going to replace my turbo housing from a straight to an angled flange. Anyone got any tips for this? I guess I need to remove the entire turbo and split it out of the car? What gaskets will I need? As I am in Australia, parts are hard to get (i.e. must be ordered online, which takes plenty ...

UPDATE: Re: OBX downpipe/exhaust on RHD?
This should of course read RHD (right hand drive). :-) I have removed the brackets to the steering rack, and cut one of the supports with an angle grinder. It is close to fitting, but now the downpipe is actually hitting the steering rack (the knuckle that comes up into the car). I cant see any way ...

OBX downpipe/exhaust on LHD?
I bought an OBX turbo back exhaust system for my 1998 C70 Left Hand Drive (Australian model). I cant for the life of me get the downpipe on. I have been taking off brackets and it seems like it is hitting one of the supports for the steering rack. Has anyone had any success with these systems on a L...

Re: Modifying the Wastegate actuator rod...
I checked my car with a gauge and it required 6 turns to get the closed wastegate and actuator to line up at 5psi (I believe stock is just under 5). I started with two turns, which didn't really do anything. I have been running 5 1/2 turns for a while now and it is running really well. I guess it wa...

Re: Vacuum Check Valve Part Number? (With Photo)
I found this part bad on my car as well. I replaced it with an old one from my parts car, but did not notice any difference. I guess some boost leaks out of the pressure side when the valve is bad, but it doesnt seem to be heaps.

SOLVED!
I went through every vacuum hose. I found a bad check valve (the one closest to the manifold), but that didnt do much. So then I went back through everything I had already changed, and my MBC was dodgy! I dont know if it had some grit in it, or if the spring is dodgy, but I have cleaned it out and s...
