1999 v70 brake light switch adj and low idle after repair
Hi! I had the metal boss that pushes the master cylinder plunger on my clutch pedal break off. So I took it all apart and then had someone weld the metal boss back on. After putting everything back together 2 problems arose: 1. The break switch no longer makes full contact to the point of shutting o...

Re: 1999 v70 clutch pedal arm removal only Easy?
Looks like in order to remove the Clutch pedal arm... I have to remove the whole assembly; The nut is on the gas pedal end... and the bolt cannot slide out from the pedal cluster brackets...
Has anyone here removed the pedal cluster of a 1999 V70? Can you tell me of any concerns in doing so?

1999 v70 clutch pedal arm removal only Easy?
Hi! My clutch pedal arm, the metal swivel point or boss for the master cylinder plastic arm bore, snapped off inside. The clutch pedal arm looks like three bolts on the left to remove just it. Is there anything else I should be aware of? Can I just remove the clutch pedal arm? My plan is to take the...

1999 v70 computer conditions RFID key fuel pump question
Hello, Still trying to debug my fuel pump relay problem. I have mine circumvented with a switch right now, and I have replaced the capacitors. unfortunately replacing the capacitors did not seem to work I have to go and see (with a voltmeter) if the computer is actually pulsing the relay or not. But...

Re: 1999 v70 fuel pump relay after capacitor replacement
so the idea is is to get it inspected and to pass safety...
and then they will reject it because the computer isn't ready...
and I have 30 days until the computer finishes it's testing...
They won't retest safety at that point.
(at least this is my experience)

Re: 1999 v70 fuel pump relay after capacitor replacement
Okay... I have to admit it... even though I was being careful I put one of them in backwards! The 22uF was in backwards... I'll try again tomorrow... since I have a new cap in there. speaking of inspection... here in MA inspection is very difficult for older cars... You can fail for safety or emissi...

Re: 1999 v70 fuel pump relay after capacitor replacement
Hi! Yes 100uF and 22uF with the negative side facing away from the relay base (positive side facing down) They are both rated at 25V I will double check tonight. Need to get the car inspected... and the computer has a code from when I used a paper clip! Perhaps I should clear the computer codes and ...

1999 v70 fuel pump relay after capacitor replacement
My car was not starting and I traced it to the fuel pump safety relay. So I found a thread that instructed on replacing the capacitors in the fuel pump safety relay. Which I did. I double checked what I did compared to the instruction and double checked the solder connections. The car now runs and d...
