Tried to start my V70 T5 (440,000 km) turn ignition key to start, nothing - no solenoid click, doesn't even try to turn over. CAA couldn't start it, so towed to my driveway. After let down from the tow truck, I tried it once more - it started. Took it to the dealer to have it checked, they said ...

Thank you, I'll dig a little deeper in the forum. The old one had no water in it, but the shaft was really stiff to turn, probably bad bearings. In the mean time, I replaced mine with a used Volvo one of same model. We'll see how that works.

Hi,
The dealer's mechanic told me the CEL code pointed to the air pump being bad. How can I check if the pump works or not? I have it out of the car, should I be able to feel the pump work if I connect the wiring harness and start the engine? Is this a 12vdc device?
