well prior to getting your reply I tapped on ETM and you could feel it idle better and then the car would accelerate but would only last a minute or so....so I assume the ETM is bad...as far as programming is that something that could only be done at a dealer or should I take my chances ordering one...

I just replaced head gasket on my 2000 s70 non turbo and it started and ran fine when job was complete I took it out for a spin a nd seemed fine. yea its anon turbo and retightening was an option but since I was that deep it was foolish not to replace gasket anyway

ok here are pics of vacuum line it is the white one coming from the intake manifold...I believe it goes somewhere near or on throttle body cant see anything at a quick glance haven't had time to dig a lil deeper so im asking for any one with any idea where it may go

thanks for the responses.....I did check the head with a straight edge which looked good so I decided to just put the head back in without doing all the work on valves and such....head gasket was actually good...what I found was 2 loose head bolts by cylinders 3 and 4 which were filled with water......

Head gasket 2000 S70

just removed head to replace head gasket now i just have one question before reinstalling...is it a must that head hould be planed ,it didnt overheat head looks ok but im sure its warped somewhat car has about 180000 miles on it.....just need to verify bfore i go any further....what are my options

it is a dorman OE...so what your saying i need stricly bosch oem...i have used OE before never had an issue

I did purchase a new OE part and it still does not strart..so what you are saying is that the one i bought is bad...and yes i am driving car with maf disconnected i only reattached to prove good or bad...car does not start still with new maf connected

Ihave a 1998 V70 which has been running real good up until a week ago..it would start but then stall out right away...upon troubleshooting i disconnected the mass air flow sensor and the vehicle started and then stalls out right away as i reconnect it. 1998 850. stalls when engine is warm

My volvo starts and runs great but sometimes after run in 5 mins it idles rough then stalls . The one thing I notice is that every time this happens the temp Guage is not working which leads me to assume that the temp sensor is not working .. could a simple radiator flush fix this to release whateve...
