Re: Part smoking, what is it?

I went in from the top of the engine and removed the metal shield above it. I see no oil on it. Gonna tinker around with it thanks for helping me identify what it is.

Re: Part smoking, what is it?

Yes, under the engine on the rear of the engine, Looking straight up it is almost on the same line as the front wheels. Only had to go under the engine about as far as I would to look up at the oil drain plug. (Hope all that makes sense!) The bottom of the picture leads to the engine. The top of the...

Part smoking, what is it?

http://img825.imageshack.us/img825/1941/partx.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us Okay, so my wife 98 S70 GLT has started smoking from under the hood. Once I got under the car and looked this is where it is coming from. It's centered on the bottom rear of the engine (Closest to the firewall) and smoke ...

Yes, I believe that is it then. I'm working so can't post a pic right now but that's exactly what it goes to. Thanks!

Need help Identifying Part I need

I have a 1998 Volvo S70 GLT. If you are looking at the engine, (standing in front of the car). On the right hand side just beside the fuel rail...there is a black plastic cover you can remove with a phillips head screw driver (Just one screw holding it). After removing the cover there is a hose that...

98 S70 GLT with a few problems

Hello. On startup, regardless of the weather, the S70 will let out a puff of white smoke. The Check Engine light is on and throwing a P0171 code. O2 sensors have been replaced and the code continues to pop up. I noticed today while sitting at the store idling that it would idle at 900 rpm's. Every o...

This was one of the hoses that I replaced. That is what I have done for now, cutting it off evenly and using what is left. I will check to see if that works tomorrow after I drive it around town for the day.

Thanks, I checked it and discovered a small tear in the hose. I repositioned it and tightened it back down again. Checked it again today and it was completely ripped around the whole hose. It looks like I will have to either take the manifold back off and replace that hose or come up with some way t...

98 S70 GLT problem

On or around Jan 13th I replaced my oil trap and all other hoses in the PVC kit from FCP Groton on my 98 Volvo S70 GLT. The rough idle from a cold start went away and it runs smoother. I pulled the black cover off the top of the spark plugs to look and see if any more oil was accumulating there and ...

Hey thanks for the diagram. Figured out the problem on it. At the brake pedal the white part that you can pull out to adjust the plunger placement against the brake pedal arm. Well it will adjust and then go one additional click. This causes the plunger to sit out just a hair and the cruise will not...
