what if you leave the car parked and running for a little while? do you see any leaks...

for that big of a leak, i doubt the green scotch-brite caused it...

it's possible the thermostat housing is only leaking when the car is running. I had this problem before. I had cracked the thermostat housing while replacing the thermostat, when I put the new one, I didn't tighten the lower bolt enough and it was leaking really bad - only when I drive the car.

Thanks Neil. I have an automatic. Do you know if the Viper kit comes with installation instructions? I'm familiar with electrical wiring, etc. Or does it take an expert to install it?

I had the same thing happen to me when I went replace the thermostat, I cracked the darn housing and had to remove quite a few parts to get to the lower bolt clearly.

Yes, when it leaked it seemed as if the leak was from behind the timing cover....
