Fuel injectors are like 6 bucks each at the junkyard. Re: transmission help

What oil did you use? How long is one of those old ones supposed to last? Youre buying from the junk yard so i mean i dunno. The 55-51 55-50 whatever the five speeds are called usually go out around 100 something. Depending on how often the fluid was changed of course. Volvo claimed/claims (?) no se...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

I mounted this cute little amp to an mdf board that i had cut to the correct size for mounting in the trunk where the oem junk used to live. Lots of cables and stuff, im just steering clear of all that and routing new leads. Im keeping the speaker wiring though to save some time and headache. 201909...

Re: Using the engine to dry the carpet after heater core replacement.

I have this sinking feeling that all the carpet is ruined... I shoved paper towels under the driver's seat carpet and it came back soaked in antifreeze! Unfortunately Volvo no longer has replacement carpet according to my dealer. The up side it is easy to pull out the carpet. I didn't even break a ...

I literally set my BMW on fire while trying to repair the notorious Becker radio module.
I managed to yank the crap out of the trunk and put out the fire though. It was quite exciting!

Put a towel underneath and step on it to get most of the liquid out. Then just let it sit outside in the sun for a day or two.
Thats what i usually do.

The good:

Newish tires
Rotors
Pads
Plugs

The bad:
Roof is toast
Headliner gone
Crusty front leather

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky)

I didn’t do anything to my car yet but I picked up some parts for it today at the pick n stab. The plan was to collect a couple of pounds of BMW nuts and bolts but I stumbled upon this nice C70 convertible. Easy under 100K and a 2004. I have had some annoying brake problem for a long time now. Re: New Member New to Volvo

It’s leaking from under the car. It’s the gas tank but I’m not sure where. I haven’t really looked. I smelled burning oil when I stopped today. The oil was near the bottom of the ok marks. I topped it off with 5w-20. I got pictures of the dash lights. I still haven’t fixed anything. Here’s some pic...

Another fun filled day. Boost gauge started behaving weird. Then car cut out along with lights, boost gauge, and dash. Fuses were blown for the immobilizer, dash, light switch, and headlights. Popped out the light switch and was greeted by perhaps the worst wiring job I have ever seen. Like serious...
