Re: ‘16 s60 car at the dealer now, can’t find anything wrong with it
I have a 2016 s60 t5 r-design...after it rains or I wash the car, there is a mildew smell in the car. It will usually go away after the rain clears up and the car is driven. The smell is there before even starting the car, so it is not coming from the A/C. Dealer checked all drains and they can’t f...

Re: Parting out S60R
Hi, I would be interested in one coil (I have 140k on the originals and I think I will need a spare soon) and the brake pedal position sensor (if you didn't have problems with cruise or vacuum leak from the brakes then it should be working fine). The sensor is attached to the brake booster and looks...

Re: Front End Clunk
I have been trying to find the cause of a front end clunk noise ( sounds like a rubber mallet hitting something) and I have run out of ideas. It only does it when i go from a stopped position and not every time. It sounds like it is coming from under the drivers floorboard, tire or tranny area. I h...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today....now sticky!!
I just finished PCV job in hope that it's going to help my rear main seal leak. Started with small overpressure in the crankcase but now I have a solid suction in all rpm. The old bajo bolt on the engine side had some calcium deposits (or rust?) inside and the one way valve was missing. I HATE both ...

Re: 06 S60 Brake Pedal Position Sensor going bad after 6 months? Topic is solved
Sorry for such long break. I had to do PCV system and didn't have time to get to this. It looks like jimmy57 was right. I cleaned the terminals and everything looks good. The cruise was disabled on most of my drives before but it's been working good for the past week. I'm a professor so let's see if...

06 S60 Brake Pedal Position Sensor going bad after 6 months? Topic is solved
Hi Everyone, Six months ago I changed my Brake Pedal Position sensor ( https://www.ipdusa.com/products/16513/126006-brake-booster-position-sensor ) because it was leaking and started to give me ECM-900C code once in a while. Is it possible that the unit is broken again or is my BCM going bad? Is the...

Re: Spongy brakes despite recent bleeding
Check the vacuum switch as XC70Rider suggested. You can set the ignition to position II (with engine not running) and every time you hit brakes you should hear sound and the brake pedal should not be hard. You can activate the ABS pump in VIDA if you have it to bleed the system. But from what I read...

Re: Spongy brakes despite recent bleeding
You could try to change brake calipers. My front caliper was sticky and while changing them I saw the piston was soo rusted that I could barely move it even with tools. I suspect that the braking response would get better if I change the back calipers as well.

Re: Braking issues
I have 2006 S60 and there is no response the first 15% of the pedal travel. I changed the switch, brake booster, front calipers and lines for other reasons but the brake response stayed the same. I would say that the brakes are very gradual on my car but they do lock the wheel at 80%-90% of the peda...

Re: AC Overcharged?Undercharged? Topic is solved
I had a similar problem. I charged my AC at idle and it was working at idle without problems but once I start driving it turned off in a few minutes. It's important to keep the engine around 1200 rpm when you charge the AC using the low side pressure. The compressor has variable efficiency and you w...
